
About Mary
Mary Williams is a 2001 graduate of Berklee College of Music with a Bachelors of Music in Film Scoring. After graduation she worked as a film composer in New York City. She moved to Atlanta in 2003 and taught General Music and Applied Piano Lessons at The Lovett School from 2003 to 2007. In the summer of 2007, Mary opened her home studio in the Lake Claire neighborhood. After working a two year term as president, she is now in charge of publications for Atlanta Music Teachers Association, is the Secretary for Georgia Music Teachers Association and a member of National Music Teachers Association. In addition to teaching, Mary adjudicates local piano festivals and competitions, and gives lectures on teaching. This year she will be presenting at the Georgia Music Teachers Association annual conference on the topic of integrating technology into the piano studio.Mary Williams also works as a composer, mostly for film and media projects. Her most recent feature-length project was for the film Zion and His Brother, which was showcased at the Sundance Film Festival in 2009.
